A poet and a painter.

Born 1944 to Dutch parents who immigrated to Israel in 1932.

Attended three years at the Tel-Aviv University 16-19.

Married twice, divorced twice, two children living with her.

Was one of the establishers of the Third Eye artists group, as well as the Binyamina Community of Art.

Her paintings were exhibited in Israel at places such as : The Tel Aviv Performing Art Center, The Sotheby's Galleries, Tirosh gallery Jaffa, "Hamumche" gallery Neve Zedek, The Sara Kishon gallery,Chutzot Hayotzer, Gershon Knispel, Illana As, Hilton gallery, Baron Stables, Artifact Gallery, Sara Conforty Gallery, as well as galleries in Poland and Belgium.

Her work has been reviewed and shown on several TV programs and appeared in major newspapers in Israel and abroad.

Her works are part of the collections of Yossi Chachmi, Yona Fisher, Michal Strauss, Ilan Openheimer, Irit Copler, Ben Dror Strauss, Kobi Levi, Ronit Heimovich, Att. Michael Kaspi, Fedenman Holdings, Isaac Lipschutz, Shlomo and Ziva Lahat, David Uzziel and others, and are also owned by many famous art performers such as the singer Corinne Alal, and the writer Yonatan Geffen.

Has been writing poetry since the age of 8, her poems were published in several literary magazines, among them Maxim Gilan's 'Kilterten' and Yaacov Besser's 'Iton 77'.

A book of her poetry and paintings will be published in the coming fall.

An evening was held at the Habima Theater in her honor, where Israeli well-known musicians such as Chaya Samir, Tal Gordon, Assaf Amdursky, Eli Abramov, Corrine Alal, and many others performed her lyrics to music they had composed.

Among her works of architecture and design, is the reconstruction of Napoleon's headquaeters in Moscow, (and it's renovation into management offices for the "Nafta" energy company,) "Ha-Achooza" a wedding hall and garden , (reconstructed from an1800 ca. old mansion,) "Alexander on the park", a 1000 capacity wedding hall and garden in the center of Tel Aviv, and many more. Is currently working on "Project Corfu", a reconstruction of a 1860 mansion into an art center, and a neighberhood of villas surrounding it. Her speciality is taking on a project from beginning to end, including garden and furniture design.

In 2001, Arod was invited to create a painting for the Beit Hashanti Fund, a fund that assists deprived and abused children. The size of the painting she has made is 40 square meters (10 meter width X 4 meter, 33 feet X 13 feet height) and is consisted of 1,000 squares the size of each is 20 centimeter X 20 centimeter. Contributors were invited to the premiere of the painting and the cost of each square was $1,500.

The Blue [Shanti] Forest painting was exhibited in a number of open public centers in Israel and in the Tel Aviv Performing Art Center. The painting attracted many who attended events that were held in its honor and was reviewed on tv several times. The painting was also included in the Guinness Book of Records. In December 2002, the painting will be exhibited in the United Nations Building in New York.
